BREAKING NEWS! This is my 32nd and final season at the Sports Hut!  On January 1, 2010 Mark Hoffmann and his wife Sheila Golden will become the new owners of both White Pass Sports Hut and Northwest Expressions.  Rose and I have spent several weeks indoctinating them into the business and their intention is to continue with the same great gear, prices, programs, customer service and tradition that Rose and I have established.  We have agreed to stay until the end of February to assure a smooth transition to the new ownership.  Please stop by the shop and meet Mark and Sheila and share some handshakes and hugs with Rose and I on your next trip through Packwood.  We have loved our years here and will miss all of you.  We have purchased a floating home on the Multnomah Channel of the Columbia River and look forward to our new life on the water.  Both Mark and Sheila will have our phone numbers and will be happy to share them with you if you wish to reach us for any reason.  Thanks to all of you for your business over the years and your continued support of the Sports Hut.  Our small businesses have survived for so long only because of you.  Most of all, thanks for the memories. Dave and Rose Bliss  12/28/2009   While expansion has begun at White Pass, new terrain won't be open until next season.  There is now adequate snow to get underway and the resort opens on November 13, 14th and 15th for one of the earliest openers in years.  The resort will close the following Monday - Thursday and re-open for the season on November 20th as long as snow coverage is still adequate.   There are many new changes underway at the Sports Hut and encourage you to stop in and find out what they are.  One thing that hasn't changed is good, old-fashioned customer service.  We appreciate your support for the past 31 years and thank you for your business. We STILL want to be YOUR ski and snowboard rental shop!
